The problem with a blank chatbot

A model with no context will write a confident page about your business from whatever it can infer. It will be fluent, plausible and occasionally wrong about something you cannot afford to be wrong about — a price, a service area, a claim your trade body regulates.

Grounding is the difference

When the same model is given verified facts about the business, a brand voice, the existing pages and who the audience is, the failure mode changes. It stops guessing, because it no longer has to.

What AI should decide

Wording, structure, which page a topic belongs on, what is missing, what has gone stale, and which of several changes is most likely to help. These are judgement calls where being roughly right quickly is genuinely useful.

What AI should not decide

Anything with a consequence you would have to explain. Prices, legal or regulated claims, deleting pages, changing a domain, spending a budget, or what your privacy behaviour is. Siteleon routes all of those to a person by default, and no setting removes that.

Untrusted content is a design problem

Your page text, your form submissions and the pages of a site you imported are all things an outsider can influence. Treating them as data the AI reads, never as instructions it follows, is an architectural decision rather than a filter — filters are guesses.

What to ask for first

Not a website. Ask what is out of date, which pages produce your best customers, and what you should improve this week. Those three answers tell you quickly whether a system actually understands your business or is simply generating text.
