An expired certificate is one of the most visible ways a small business website fails — the browser puts a full-page warning in front of your site, and the first person to tell you is usually a customer. Siteleon issues a certificate as soon as a connected domain is verified, and renews it well ahead of expiry without anyone remembering to. It covers the root domain, the www version, any subdomain you add and the old addresses you redirect from, as they are added rather than on request. Secure delivery is enforced rather than offered: insecure requests are redirected, and anything on a page that would load insecurely — an old image link, a map embedded from a previous site — is flagged in preview, before a visitor meets it. If a record changes at your registrar and renewal cannot complete, you are told in plain language which record broke it and what to put back.

There is no certificate to buy, no signing request to generate and no file to upload anywhere. Connection and certification are one step. A subdomain added next year is covered when you add it, not after you notice it is not.

Certificates are renewed ahead of expiry on their own, so there is no reminder to keep and no single person who knows how it was set up. Where something outside Siteleon prevents renewal — usually a DNS change made at the registrar — you get a warning naming the record while there is still time to fix it.
