Measurement that answers what happened, why, and what to do
Most analytics tools hand you a room full of charts and leave the thinking to you. The Analytics Engine starts with a sentence instead — enquiries fell eighteen per cent last week, traffic was stable, the mobile quote form has been failing since Tuesday. Measurement is first-party, collected by the site itself rather than bolted on with third-party tags, and it respects the consent choice each visitor made. The charts are still there when you want to check the working.
What connects
Analytics is part of Siteleon, not a separate service you install. Every published page is measured from the moment it goes live, and the numbers stay tied to the pages, forms and business facts they came from.
What data moves, and which way
- Collected on your site: page views, journeys, referrers, devices and form interactions, held in your own workspace.
- Read from your site structure: which page, section and business fact a visit touched, so content can be judged rather than just URLs.
- Read from your customer record: which sessions became enquiries, and which enquiries became customers.
- Sent onward where you enable it: aggregate conversion signals to advertising platforms, filtered by consent.
What Siteleon can do with it
- Say which pages produce customers, not merely which pages get traffic.
- Separate real visitors from automated traffic, so a crawl does not read as demand.
- Trace a customer back through every page they read before they enquired.
- Explain a change — what moved, what caused it, the evidence behind it — and offer a fix you can preview.
Things you could ask for once it is on
- “Why did enquiries drop last week?”
- “Which pages did our ten best customers read before they contacted us?”
- “Show me mobile against desktop on the quote form for the last three months.”
Setting it up
Four steps, in this order.
- 01Nothing to connect on a Siteleon-built site. Measurement is on from your first publish.
- 02If you kept your existing website, add the Siteleon snippet or install the WordPress, Shopify or Webflow connector.
- 03Mark which forms and events count as an enquiry, so a conversion means something to your business.
- 04Set your consent rules first — the Analytics Engine enforces them at collection rather than after the fact.
Permissions
Analytics data belongs to your workspace and is visible only to the people you give access to. Siteleon never sells it, never pools it into an advertising network, and never lets one customer's site see another's. Visitor data is collected under the consent each visitor gave, and a declined choice means the visit is counted in aggregate or not at all, according to the rules you set.
Where it stops
Consent-aware measurement means some visits are recorded in less detail or not at all — that is the trade, and Siteleon will not pretend otherwise. Attribution across long journeys, shared devices and offline conversations is a model rather than a fact, and Siteleon shows which model it used. Very recent figures move as sessions close. Revenue attribution appears only where revenue is genuinely connected.
