Analytics & growth

What Google already knows about your site, in plain language.

Search Console holds two things worth having: the searches that showed your pages, and the problems stopping Google reading them. Siteleon reads both, sets the search demand beside what actually became enquiries, and submits new and changed pages for recrawl when you publish. It will show you where the gaps are. It will not promise you a position, and neither will anything else honest.

What connects

You connect a verified Search Console property and nominate which one is canonical for the site. Siteleon reads its performance and indexing data, and submits your sitemap and changed URLs.

What data moves, and which way

  • Received: the searches that showed your pages, with impressions, clicks and average position per page.
  • Received: indexing and crawl problems — pages Google could not read, redirects it did not follow, sitemaps it rejected.
  • Received: the mobile usability and page experience issues Google reports against your URLs.
  • Sent: your sitemap, and the new or changed URLs for recrawl each time you publish.

What Siteleon can do with it

  • Find searches your site is already shown for with no page that answers them, then write that page.
  • Check a migration honestly — whether old URLs redirect, whether new ones are indexed, whether anything was orphaned.
  • Put search demand beside enquiry data, so a term with heavy impressions and no customers is treated as what it is.
  • Be told when indexing problems appear after a publish, instead of finding out a month later.

Things you could ask for once it is on

  • What are people searching for around emergency air-conditioning repair that we have no page for?
  • Did any URLs stop being indexed after last week's publish?
  • Which search terms bring impressions but almost never turn into enquiries?

Setting it up

Four steps, in this order.

  1. 01Verify your property in Search Console — if Siteleon manages the domain, it can add the verification record for you.
  2. 02Connect the verified property from Integrations and choose which one is canonical for this site.
  3. 03Confirm the sitemap Siteleon submits and check your robots rules allow the pages you want read.
  4. 04Publish a change, confirm the URL is submitted, then check the coverage view over the following days.

Permissions

Siteleon asks to read search performance and indexing data for the properties you select, and to submit sitemaps and URLs for recrawl. It never asks for access to your Google Ads account, your analytics property, or any Search Console property you did not select, and it never asks for the ability to remove pages from Google's index.

Where it stops

Search Console describes what Google does; connecting it changes nothing about how Google ranks you, and Siteleon will never suggest otherwise. The data is Google's and arrives with Google's constraints — a delay of a couple of days, rows withheld for rare searches, and totals that will not match your own visitor numbers because the two count different things. Siteleon can change a page, fix a redirect and ask for a recrawl. Whether Google acts, and when, is Google's decision alone.
