Google Ads, judged by customers rather than clicks

Google Ads reports what it can see — impressions, clicks and the form that was submitted. It cannot see which of those enquiries answered the phone, which turned into a quote, and which paid an invoice. Siteleon connects the account to your enquiries, your customer record and your collected revenue, then sends the qualified outcomes back so the platform learns which clicks are worth buying. You read the result in euros and customers, with the click metrics kept underneath.

What connects

Your Google Ads account links to Siteleon in both directions. Campaign, spend and conversion data comes in, and the enquiries that became real customers go back out as conversion signals.

What data moves, and which way

  • Into Siteleon: campaigns, ad groups, daily spend, clicks and impressions, so cost sits beside outcome.
  • Into Siteleon: the search term or placement a visitor arrived from, attached to their session on your site.
  • Out to Google Ads: enquiries marked qualified in your customer record, sent back as conversions.
  • Out to Google Ads: customer value where revenue is connected, so bidding weighs a long maintenance contract above a one-off callout.

What Siteleon can do with it

  • Report each campaign as spend, enquiries, customers and revenue on one line, in euros.
  • Show which landing page a campaign sent people to, and how that page converted compared with your others.
  • Tell you when cost per customer moves significantly, and say which campaign caused it.
  • Prepare campaign changes — pausing a group, shifting budget, rewriting a landing page — for you to approve before anything spends.

Things you could ask for once it is on

  • Which Google Ads campaign brought us the most maintenance contracts last quarter?
  • Our cost per customer went up in Alicante — show me what changed.
  • Draft a campaign for emergency repair and show me the budget before anything goes live.

Setting it up

Four steps, in this order.

  1. 01Open Integrations, choose Google Ads and sign in with the Google account that manages the advertising.
  2. 02Pick the Ads account, or accounts, you want connected. A manager account can select several at once.
  3. 03Confirm which Siteleon forms and which pipeline stage count as a conversion worth sending back.
  4. 04Leave it a fortnight. Reporting is useful immediately, but the return signal needs enough enquiries to be meaningful.

Permissions

Siteleon requests read access to campaign structure, spend and performance, and permission to write conversions back. It never requests access to your billing details or payment methods, never changes budgets or bids without your approval, and never touches other Google products on the same account.

Where it stops

Siteleon reports what Google Ads shares through its API, so figures settle over a few days and very recent numbers move. Conversions sent back are subject to Google's own matching and attribution, which means their totals and ours will not always agree exactly. Siteleon does not promise improvement — the return signal makes the platform better informed, it does not make a weak offer profitable. Anything that spends money waits for your approval.
