Facebook and Instagram advertising, answerable to the same numbers

Meta is good at finding attention and poor at telling you whether that attention paid. A campaign can report 180 leads and leave you unable to say how many became work. Siteleon links the ad account to your enquiries and your customer record, sends qualified outcomes back, and reports the campaign in euros. Facebook and Instagram then sit in the same view as your search spend, so you can compare them on the only thing that matters.

What connects

Your Meta ad account connects to Siteleon so campaign spend and results flow in, and the enquiries that became customers flow back as conversion events.

What data moves, and which way

  • Into Siteleon: campaigns, ad sets, creative, spend and results from Facebook and Instagram.
  • Into Siteleon: instant form submissions, delivered straight to your customer record as enquiries rather than a CSV export.
  • Out to Meta: qualified enquiries and won customers, sent as conversion events so optimisation targets them.
  • Out to Meta: customer value where revenue is connected, so a signed contract counts differently from a lead that went cold.

What Siteleon can do with it

  • Show each campaign as spend against enquiries, customers and revenue, beside your other channels.
  • Pull instant form leads into the pipeline so nobody re-types them from an export.
  • Identify which creative and audience produced customers, not which produced the cheapest leads.
  • Retarget people who read a service page and did not enquire, using audiences built from your own site behaviour and consent.

Things you could ask for once it is on

  • Did Instagram or Facebook bring us more hotel enquiries this month?
  • Stop the ad set that is spending the most for the fewest customers and tell me what it cost.
  • Build a retargeting audience from people who read the chiller maintenance page.

Setting it up

Four steps, in this order.

  1. 01Connect the Facebook account that holds admin rights on your Business Manager.
  2. 02Choose the ad account and the Facebook and Instagram pages tied to the business.
  3. 03Turn on conversion sending and confirm which pipeline stage counts as a customer.
  4. 04Check your consent settings — visitors who decline advertising cookies are excluded from audiences and signals.

Permissions

Siteleon requests access to ad account management, the connected pages and their lead forms, and permission to send conversion events. It never requests access to personal Facebook profiles, private messages, friend or follower lists, and it never posts to your pages.

Where it stops

Meta attributes generously — its dashboard will usually claim more conversions than Siteleon can trace to a named customer, and both numbers can be defensible. Signal delivery depends on consent: where a visitor refuses advertising cookies, nothing about them is sent. Instant forms capture only the fields Meta allows, so qualification still happens on your side. Siteleon can propose budget changes but will not apply them on its own.
